According to TSN, Forsberg and his agent have been in contact with several NHL teams. This time turning down offers. So far, TSN is reporting, Forsberg has turned down offers from the Nashville Predators, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and Calgary Flames.
This past weekend, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren was in Sweden to do some scouting, but some sources are reporting he also met with Forsberg. This comes a few days after he notified his former Swedish team Modo that he will not be playing for them.The Flyers have always been reported as front runners in the Foppa sweepstakes. This should get interesting in the next few weeks as the rosters need to be set near the end of the month and the trade deadline looming.
