The Flyers website is reporting that the team has recalled defensemen Ryan Parent from the Flyers’ AHL affiliate the Philadelphia Phantoms. Parent was acquired along with Scottie Upshall from Nashville last year in exchange for Peter Forsberg. Parent is a promising young defensemen that will hopefully give the team’s defense a shot in the arm, considering the defense has been lackluster of late.
