Well, I appears that Peter Forsberg has made his decision, and it’s not the Flyers. In fact, it’s not the NHL at all. TSN is reporting that Forsberg, through his agent, has said that he is not confident enough that he will be able to play to his fullest with his foot issues. This a complete 180 from where things were thought to be heading just over a week ago. Several news outlets then were reporting a deal was close between Forsberg and the Flyers.
You have to hand it Forsberg, when we have seen many athletes in sports continue on playing at a lower level of play but still demand top dollar, he would rather not play instead of playing below his standards.
Some roster news for the Flyers, the team has recalled Claude Giroux and Stefan Ruzicka. They will be with the team for tomorrow night’s game in Ottawa.
