Coming into this afternoon’s game, the Flyers were one point behind the Boston Bruins who were in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference. The Flyers’ hold on the 8 spot was a tedious one, with the Buffalo Sabres surging and only 2 points behind. A win in regulation would have moved the Flyers up to seventh place and given them some breathing room.

The Sabres needed to send an extra player out to score a goal. Jeff Carter continues on his tear. Riley Cote only needs one punch to take out Andre Roy. Not to mention Toronto is already dishing the dirt.
