Sean Avery’s Dancing With The Stars Audition

April 14th, 2008 by James

Watching last night’s Rangers - Devils game and the exchange between Sean Avery and Martin Brodeur, you would think Avery was trying to get the attention of Dancing with the Stars with his moves. The problem for Avery was that his dance partner, Brodeur, wanted nothing to do with him.

Avery was tasked with being in front of the net and screening Brodeur. He took it a bit far and started dancing in front of him and waving his stick in Brodeur’s face. For a professional, this came off as childish and immature. It’s one thing to be parked in front of the net and act as a screen, it’s something completely different to do what Avery did and make you and your team look like a bunch of clowns. Here is the video.
