According to the Flyers website, after practice today, Mike Knuble stated that he his ready to return from the hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last 5 games. He suffered the injury while attempting to block a shot in game 5 in the previous round against the Washington Capitals. Knuble went on further to say that he would not announce he was ready to return unless he is sure he is 100%.
“If I wasn’t ready to handle everything I wouldn’t be dressing,” he said. “It’s just too important, and there are too many guys that we have that are healthy, and I wouldn’t go out with any limitations on myself.”
It appears with Knuble’s return, he will be back on the same line with Jeff Carter and Scottie Upshall. If that is the case, RJ Umberger will be back on Mike Richard’s line, even with his recent success with Carter and Upshall. In the last 3 games, Umberger has 4 goals.
