Yesterday, the Vancouver Canucks announced that 21 year old defenseman Luc Bourdon died. It was reported that he lost control of his motorcycle near his home of Shippagan in northern New Brunswick.

The Detroit Red Wings picked right back up where they left off in game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. From the opening face-off to the final buzzer, the Red Wings picked apart the Pittsburgh Penguins every step of the way. It wasn’t until 12 minutes into the first period, on a power play, that the Penguins were able to get their first shot on Detroit netminder Chris Osgood.

Well, from this week’s You Can’t Make This Stuff Up File, a minor league pitcher was traded for bats, “10 Prairie Sticks Maple Bats, double-dipped black, 34-inch, C243 style” to be exact.
