The Flyers continued to build their defensive depth today by aquirring Janne Niskala from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Triston Grant and a seventh round pick in next year’s draft. Niskala is a 6′0″, 200-pound defenseman that played in 80 regular season games for the Predator’s AHL affiliate Milwaukee Admirals, recording 19 goals, 44 points and 81 penalty minutes. Niskala was a fifth round draft pick by Nashville in 2004.
