It’s Time To Vote…
…for the NHL All-Stars. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) The NHL All-Star ballot was released this week and here are the Flyers on that list:
Martin Biron – has had a rough start, but was one of the biggest reasons for the Flyers run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
Kimmo Timonen – a key to the Flyers defense.
Danny Briere – 3G, 4A in 6 games before getting hurt.
Simon Gagne – 8G, 6A, +6 after missing almost the entire season last year.
Mike Richards – 4G, 10A, has more goals that Sidney Crosby and only 1 behind in total points.
Noticeably absent from the list is Jeff Carter. He’s netted 9 goals (more than Sidney Crosby) and 3 assists in 11 games so far this season. Carter is tied for second in the league in goals and is tied for tops in the league, along with Gagne, in shorthanded goals. I say we Flyers fans have another write in campaign. Last year, we made it known Mike Richards deserved to be there. This year, Jeff Carter deserves to join teammates Richards and Gagne in Montreal. Who’s with me?
Voting starts on November 12 and runs through Jan 2.
