The Flyers have been playing better hockey as of late. In the last 6 games, they are 4-1-2.

Last Tuesday they dismantled the Atlanta Thrashers 7-0. Mike Knuble, Simon Gagne, and Joffrey Lupul all had two goals. Antero Nittymaki posted his fourth career shutout. He is now 10-0 against Atlanta.

On Thursday night, the Flyers beat the New York Islanders 3-2 in overtime. Jeff Carter scored two goals in this game, including the game winner in the overtime session.

On Sunday, the Flyers had their winning streak halted at 4 in a row by the Edmonton Oilers by a score of 5-4. The Power Play went 3 for 6.

The Flyers are in Ottawa tomorrow night for a 7:30 game against the Senators.

So far this season, Martin Biron does not look much the player that was seen in the playoffs. He seems to be shaky and fighting the puck.

The Flyers are near the top in the league in goals scored with 43, but they are 28 out of 30 in goals against at 3.64.

GM Paul Holmgren said he has met with free agent Brendan Shanahan. Still not sure what to think this.

Danny Briere thinks he is ahead of schedule with his recovery.
