The Flyers Rangers rivalry is showing no signs of dying anytime soon, especially this season with both teams hunting for a playoff spot. This game had everything you would expect from an Atlantic Division matchup, including 6 goals in the first period, 3 by each team, and both goaltenders getting replaced.

After losing ten straight, losing several players to injuries, and flip-flopping Biron and Nittymaki as starting goaltenders, the Flyers are now riding a three game win streak after today’s win.

In a ten minute period in the first period, the Flyers gave up 3 consecutive goals to the Sabres. During the first 15 minutes of the game, they let Buffalo dictate the game. However, after the third Sabres’ goal, the Flyers decided to start playing.
