Bill Meltzer at Hockey Buzz is reporting that Sami Kapanen has retired from the NHL. A report in Kuopio-based newspaper Savon Sanomat quoted Kapanen as saying that he informed the Flyers yesterday of his decision. Kapanen confirmed the report via email today.
