Sunday, the Flyers had their winning streak halted at 4 in a row by the Edmonton Oilers by a score of 5-4. In this game, like most of the season so far, Martin Biron does not look much the player that was seen in the playoffs. He seems to be fighting the puck and over-anticipating the play.

This past Monday night was Philadelphia Flyers night at the Phillies game. Martin Biron threw out the first pitch and was joined on the mound by teammates Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn, Jason Smith, Mike Knuble and Coach John Stevens.

Yesterday, Daily New Live on Comcast Sportsnet had a Flyers special from 5:30 to 6:30 on the program that runs from 5:00 to 6:30. The guests included the Flyers TV crew of Jim Jackson, Steve Coates, and Keith Jones, players Braydon Coburn and Mike Knuble, Coach John Stevens and GM Paul Holmgren.

In this year’s playoffs, it has been the Flyers who have been making the habit of taking two goal leads, then blowing them. The roles were reversed tonight when the Montreal Canadiens would take a two goal lead, their first lead of the series, only to see it evaporate.
