This has to be the best commercial I’ve seen for the NHL in a good long while. No doubt Gary Bettman had nothing to do with this.

Danny Briere Named Third Star of the Week by NHL

Briere recorded six points (three goals, three assists) as the Flyers (38-28-10, 86 points) posted three consecutive victories and climbed to seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Briere notched one assist in a 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers Mar. 18, tallied two goals in a 4-3 shootout win over the New York Rangers Mar. 21 and notched one goal and two assists in a 4-1 victory over the New York Islanders Mar. 23. Briere ranks second on the Flyers in scoring with 68 points (29 goals, 39 assists) in 75 games.

Flyers Lose in OT, Look to Rebound Tonight

The Flyers squandered a 3-0 lead to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night and eventually lost in overtime. The Leafs came out strong, but the Flyers were able to hold them off and eventually built a 3 goal lead behind tallies from Scottie Upshall, Braydon Coburn, and Danny Briere.

The NHL on NBC is Terrible

For those true hockey fans out there reading this, that title is a no brainer. But as I sit here and am forced to watch the Flyers play the Rangers on NBC, I have to vent. The NHL on NBC is a joke.

Flyers Can’t Keep Up With Tampa Barrage
